Blackpool Promenade Hotels: Let Our Family Welcome Yours
Your hosts, Valerie and Michael have been running hotels and guesthouses for over 15 years. For the last eight of those they’ve run the most welcoming and homely of Blackpool promenade hotels: The Poldhu.
Blackpool started out as a business decision. If you’re planning on opening a seaside hotel, they figured, you may as well open it in the most popular seaside resort. But the town very quickly got under their skin. They love it here. They think you will too.
Personal favourites. What's yours?
They love the miles of beaches on which you can stroll, relax and take in the fresh air. They love the Blackpool Illuminations and the endless variety of shows that come to the Grand Theatre, the Opera House and the North Pier.
They love the fact that, despite being only moments away from the bustle of all of Blackpool’s attractions, the Poldhu is one of the Blackpool promenade hotels best placed for a quieter day out at Cleveleys, Fleetwood or Poulton-le-Fylde.
They also love – and would highly recommend – the Forest of Bowland. It’s a huge area of outstanding natural beauty which somehow manages to be almost completely unknown to anyone outside of Lancashire. Step out of our Blackpool promenade hotel’s door and you could be at its heart in just 40 minutes.
A Different Holiday Every Time. Now What Other Blackpool Promenade Hotels Offer That?
One Blackpool promenade hotel; yet an endless variety of holidays. That’s what the Poldhu offers. Peace and quiet or fabulous mayhem? Glorious nature or incredible attractions? You choose. It’s your holiday, at your pace, where the amount you cram in in a day is limited only by the amount you crammed in at breakfast.
And speaking of breakfast:
- Help yourself to cereals, fruit juices and yoghurts in addition to the heartiest home-cooked full English you’ll find in any of the Blackpool promenade hotels.
- Return from your day out to a warm welcome, a good cup of tea and some home-baking to put you on until dinner time.
- Then in the evening enjoy home made pies and puddings, crumbles and casseroles. Eggs are free range and come from local farms. Cheese and honey, fruit and veg are also sourced locally whenever possible.
It’s extras like these that separate The Poldhu from other Blackpool promenade hotels. It’s this attention to quality that brought the Poldhu a gold Hoast Award and brings families back again and again.
Valerie and Michael’s aim is a simple one. They enjoy giving their visitors a great holiday. They want to do the same for you. Not all Blackpool promenade hotels offer such home comforts. But then Valerie and Michael work hard to make sure that The Poldhu isn’t just any Blackpool promenade hotel.
Come and see for yourself. Get away from it all at the heart of it all. Choose the Poldhu for your family holidays in Blackpool.
