Blackpool Pleasure Beach - still the No 1 family attraction!
Over 100 years old, the UK’s favourite tourist attraction and the only UK entry in the top 25 theme parks in the world. It can only be Blackpool Pleasure Beach!
No visit to Blackpool would be complete without spending a day at Pleasure Beach. For over 100 years it has been wowing visitors of all ages and this year looks to be bigger and better than ever!
Whether it’s white knuckle rides to scare the living daylights out of you, family rides that everyone can enjoy, or something for the kids you’ll be spoilt for choice and pushed for time – there’s so much to squeeze in!
Blackpool Pleasure Beach - Family Highlights
Blackpool family hotels have been watching visitors head off for a day at the Pleasure Beach and return exhausted but happy for decades. It may have 7 rollercoasters, the tallest coaster in the UK and some of the most terrifying rides in the world, but this is a park aimed squarely at families.
Here’s why:
- For younger visitors the Beaver Creek area of Blackpool Pleasure Beach is a delight. The juniors even get their own rollercoaster and log flume!
- For families there are rides to suit all tastes. We particularly love Alice in Wonderland, The Ghost Train and The River Caves.
- Sir Hiram Maxim’s Flyers is also a must. It may be the oldest ride in the park but there’s a reason it’s still there. It’s magical!
- Get your breath back with Pleasure Beach’s sensational shows including the South Beach Show, The Big One Talent Show and the spectacular Dancing Water Show!
- New for 2010 – the fabulous sculpture garden (just through the entry gates), remodelled dodgems (beneath the Irn Bru Revolution) with design inspired by Robbie Williams, and a fully renovated Big Dipper!
